Every parent at St. Catherine of Siena School is a member of the Home School Association and every parent is encouraged
to attend the monthly H.S.A. meeting. The meetings are held the second Wednesday of every month, at 7:30pm, in the teacher's
room. (Please see the monthly school calendar for the specific dates each month.)
The meetings are attended by
the H.S.A Executive Committee Officers, Committee Chairs, the Principal , a teacher representative, a parish priest, and parents.
The meetings follow an agenda set forth by the President of the H.S.A which usually includes: an opening prayer, review of
previous meeting minutes, president’s report, committee reports, teacher comments, principal comments, old
business, new business, closing and a review of the next meeting date.
The meetings provide an opportunity for
the parents and the school staff to develop the home-school relationship. It provides a forum for planning and implementing
a variety of projects that affect the school.
There is also a General H.S.A. meeting on Back To School Night that
usually involves an informational presentation and a raffle to raise funds for the 8th grade communion breakfast. (Please
see the school Calendar for the specific dates for the General meetings.)
Please support your H.S.A.and be an active
member!
